Welcome to Hodgson School's Website.
Hodgson is a mixed comprehensive school for students aged 11 to 16.
Our main focus is on high academic standards and we provide a first
rate, all-round education for children of all abilities. Examination
results at both Key Stages 3 and 4 are consistently amongst the
highest in Lancashire and compare extremely well nationally.
As a Technology College, we are committed to providing our students
with an excellent education in a technology advanced environment.
Hodgson
is nationally one of the highest performing schools, so was asked in
early 2007 by the Department for Children, Schools and Families to
join the High Performing School Status (HPSS) project. We elected to
join a programme called RATL (Raising Achievement Transforming
Learning) and through this we share our expertise by working with
schools that need to raise their students’ attainment.
We believe that education should be a challenging and enjoyable
experience, where hard work and a desire to achieve the best bring
their own rewards. We support students to gain the appropriate
qualifications they need for further education and life after
school.
