TEAM Hodgson was in the pink after completing a charity run. Around a dozen staff and students from Hodgson took part in Blackpool’s Race for Life on 1st July. Some ran the 5k course, whilst others took on the 10k challenge.
All completed the race, which raises vital funds for Cancer Research UK.
Among the runners was the academy’s Principal Toni Roethling. She said: “Team Hodgson always participates in the Race for Life but this year we have our largest team ever in support of our Lead Teacher of Design Technology, Ally Holmes, who is currently being treated for cancer. Also in our thoughts is design technology teacher Mike Grundy, who tragically lost his battle against cancer in 2011.”
Team Hodgson has to date raised £245.
