Robotics Rule!

On Tuesday 7th March seven students attended the Tomorrows Engineers Robotics Competition using the Lego Mindstorm technology.

The group have been working hard over recent months to create a working robot that was programmed to complete a number of missions (such as launching a rocket!) which replicated missions which NASA hope to complete on Mars in the future.

They had to complete four tasks: a group work challenge building a Lego model bridge, deliver a presentation on potential life on other planets, complete a series of challenges with their robot and finally explain their robot design to a panel of judges.

The team received a prize for their robot design task but overall had completed all tasks with an incredible level of maturity and professionalism!

This competition will be running again next year, if you are interested please see Miss Turner for details of how to get involved.
