Academy Aims

Our Academy Aims are detailed below. These were devised following various consultations with staff, governors and students. During one staff twilight, students and Student Council representatives gave their invaluable input. We ultimately wanted these new aims to exactly pinpoint our main goals in a clear and concise manner.

The first aim highlights the three personal characteristics we wish to develop to help our students succeed both in and after their time at Hodgson:

1. Through the Hodgson Experience, our students will grow into confident, resilient and respectful young people ready for the next stage of their lives.

The next two aims outline the types of learners and learning environment we constantly strive for:

2. To release the full potential of all our learners, fostering a culture of life-long learning and enabling all to be successful.
3. To provide a safe, supportive, health conscious and sustainable environment in which all learners can flourish, enjoy and achieve.

The fourth aim showcases how Hodgson helps our students and other educational institutions to raise their own attainment:

4. Inspirational and ethical leadership ensures that the academy contributes to the raising of education standards both in and beyond Hodgson.
