Hodgson's current RECOMMENDED READS given by the STUDENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT:

For advanced readers

Inferno by Dan Brown, as it is captivating and you really won’t be able to put it down.

For intermediate readers

Trash by Andy Mulligan. This story is similar to Slumdog Millionaire, in that it is about children who live on a trash heap. Another good book is Stig of the Dump, by Clive King.

For occasional readers

Flat Stanley, adapted by Sheila Lane ad Marion Kemp (based on the story by Jeff Brown). This edition is fun and is great for prompting discussions.

The Student Services Department also recommend the following books: Anne of Green Gables series by L. M. Montgomery, Flowers in the Attic by V. C. Andrews, The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins, The Single Girl’s To-Do List by Lindsey Kelk, Coconuts and Wonderbras by Lynda Renham and anything by James Herbert, Sophie Kinsella and Carmen Reid.
