Dear Parents/Carers of Y6 students,
We write to invite you to Hodgson Academy’s Open Evening on Thursday 30th September, 4pm-8:30pm (please note that this start time is earlier than in previous years). This is an excellent opportunity to view all that is on offer at this academy, from our innovative teaching to the state-of-the-art facilities.
In addition to the curriculum on offer from which students leave with excellent qualifications, there is a huge range of co-curricular activities to complement learning here at Hodgson. All students are encouraged to participate in the full Hodgson Experience, an excellent education combined with extra-curricular pursuits. Our aim is to ensure all students develop into well-rounded, confident individuals.
We shall be giving four presentations on Open Evening, within the Assembly Hall, at 4:15pm, 5:15pm, 6:15pm and 7:15pm. You are invited to any of these, and then for a guided tour of the academy.
Due to limited parking on the academy’s grounds and surrounding streets, a free park and ride scheme will operate from Wyre Civic Centre’s car park on Breck Road, Poulton-le-Fylde. This free bus shuttle service will run from 5.30pm-9pm. If parking on the local roads, may we kindly request that you are considerate to residents.
The academy is also staging Open Weeks (Monday 4th October - Friday 15th October). Parents are welcome to book a visit any time during these two weeks to view the full Hodgson Experience. You will have the opportunity to tour the academy and see academy lessons and extra-curricular events in action. Please call 01253 882815 in advance to arrange a visit. This year, we do ask that these visits are kept to pupils in Year 6 and families.
