We have the highest aspirations and ambitions for each and every member of our community and support
each other to achieve them.
Believe
We foster a positive culture with a ‘can-do’ ethos. We promote resilience but support when needed to
ensure that students are cared for and supported through the challenges of 11-16 education.
Achieve
As a result of well-directed hard work our students achieve goals that prepare them exceptionally well for
the next stage of their lives. This is a much the ‘who’ as the ‘what’ – what you leave as is at least as
important as what you leave with.
The Hodgson ethos is built on our two core values – PAUSE and CARE.

Consideration And Respect for Everyone
These simple and traditional principles act as a guide for all members of the Hodgson community in how we work and learn together.
The academy also actively promotes the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance for those with different faiths and beliefs.
All students are encouraged to participate in our extra-curricular provision – which we call the Hodgson Experience – to aid their personal development. The academy is especially proud of its reputation in music, performing arts and sport, alongside our record of academic success.
